  • 1 part of pure vegetable glycerin 
  • 5 parts of water 
  • A few drops of your favorite essential oil 
Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle, shake well. Spritz on hair after showering.


Glycerin mask for a dry and dehydrated skin:
  • 1 tsp glycerin 
  • 1 tsp honey 
  • 2 tsp milk or water 
  • 1 tbsp oatmeal 
Mix well. Apply to clean face for 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.


Glycerin Eye Makeup Remover:

Since glycerin has natural grease cutting properties, it is a perfect natural ingredient for a gentle make up remover.
  • 1 part glycerin 
  •  2 parts distilled water
Combine ingredients in a spray bottle. Shake well. Dispense on a cotton pad and dab on eyes.


Glycerin Lip Balm: 
  • 1 tsp coconut oil 
  • 1 tsp vitamin E 
  • 1 tsp jojoba oil 
  • 1 tsp glycerin 
Melt together all ingredients in a small saucepan.Place the liquid mixture in a small container and allow it to cool overnight in the refrigerator.Apply on the lips to get soft lips.


Glycerin Hand Softener:
  • 2 egg yolks 
  • 5 Tbsp. glycerin 
  • 10 drops essential oil 
  • 3 Tbsp. coconut milk 
Whisk the ingredients together. Apply all over hands. Cover hands with plastic bag and let the solution sit for about ten minutes. Then, soak hands in warm water for another few minutes and rinse off the entire mixture.


Glycerin Lotion:
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Glycerin
  • 1 teaspoon Spirits of Ammonia
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
Pour all ingredients in a glass jar with tight cover.Cover and shake until well mixed and integrated.Spread a small amount of the lotion over your hands and gently massage it onto your skin.This is an excellent homemade treatment for nourishing and whitening skin.

You can Store this mixture in a cool, dark place. Shake before each use.


Glycerin Hair Conditioner:
  • 2 tsp. glycerin 
  • 2 tsp. olive oil 
  • 3 tsp. distilled water 
  • 8 tsp. grapefruit juice 
Combine the ingredients. Shake well. Shampoo your hair as normal. Condition with the glycerin mixture and rinse out.


Glycerin for Skin Care:
  • Glycerin is good for the skin as it acts as a toner. You can mix glycerin with rose water and wipe off your skin. This is a homemade toner for skin care.
  • Massaging your face with glycerin and honey helps tighten the skin and also prevent early signs of ageing. 
  • You can make a glycerin peel off face mask by mixing it with egg white and honey. It removes dead skin cells and also improves your complexion.
  • For effective skin care with glycerin, mix it with clay. This homemade face pack softens the skin and also brings a glow on the face.
  • To treat dry palms and feet, apply glycerin. You can mix it with honey to exfoliate the skin, remove dead skin cells and soften the skin.
  • If you sweat a lot and suffer from oily skin, apply glycerin with honey and milk. You can also add oatmeal and make a scrub. This removes sweat and excess oil from the skin.

Homemade Makeup Remover

Ingredients Needed:

If you have kids at home, then you'll have the ingredients ready any time

  • Baby shampoo – for the no tears factor.
  • Baby oil – for the mild and pleasant smell. You may also use olive/coconut/almond oil, if you wish to make a little more healthier product.
  • Boiled/purified water.
  • Empty container – to store the product.




1. Boil a cup of water and let it cool by itself. As you are going to use it on eyes, you don't want to risk any infection through water and thus, boil the water thoroughly.

2. Now, pour a little baby oil (may be two spoons) into the empty bottle.

3. Next, add a little amount of baby shampoo to the bottle. Shake the bottle so that the oil and the shampoo mixes well.

4. Its time to add the boiled water to the mixture and shake a little.

That’s it. The makeup remover is ready. The makeup remover smells very mild, but its too good in removing the makeup.

Body Scrubs for Head-Toe Glow

When it comes to scrub, sugar is the best natural exfoliant which is easily available at home.Scrubs help to remove dead skin and provide a soft nourishing skin.

Spread the sweetness of sugar to the whole body with these natural body scrubs.



1. Lemon & Sugar Body Scrub:

  • 1/2 fresh lemon
  • 1/2 cup granular sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
Add lemon juice and olive oil in a bowl and mix. Add honey and mix till the ingredients blend together into a thicker consistency.Now, add the sugar and mix.Rub in circular motions with your hand all over the body with special attention to knees, elbows and feet.Finally rinse off after few minutes. Apply moisturiser and enjoy a newly soft skin.


2. Banana Sugar Body Scrub:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

Smash banana with a fork into a paste.Add the sugar mixture and gently massage over your body. Rinse off with warm water to feel a super soft skin.


3. Pineapple Sugar Body Scrub:
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
Mix all the above ingredients and scrub on the body gently.Rinse off after few minutes and pat dry. You can also store this mixture in a jar and use upto 2 weeks.

Facial At Home

Face is the most important when it comes to looking beautiful.
Every woman wishes to have a beautiful face.
Face is always exposed to sun, dust, smoke etc and facials are a best way to show how we care for our beauty.Doing facial helps increase circulation and simulates the skin.It helps in delaying premature aging, removes appearance of wrinkles and keeps your skin hydrated. There is no need to go to a beauty parlor to give yourselves a facial. With a little investment in time, you can do your own facial at home with these simple steps:

1. Getting Ready:
    Before starting make sure you keep aside all the ingredients necessary to do a facial. If you have long hair, pull it back and tie it. Use headbands to prevent small hairs falling into the face.Arrange a bed or a couch where you can relax or lie down after doing your facial.If you are a music lover, you can play some soothing music to relax while doing the facial.

2. Cleanse:
    Start off with a face wash. Gently wash your face with warm water. Then, cleanse your face to remove all those dust and dirt.Honey is an excellent cleanser for all skin types.Take a small amount of honey in your palm.Rub the honey in between your palms and then massage in your face gently in circular motion to increase circulation.Wash off with warm water. If you have a dry skin, mix little milk with honey and massage. For oily skin, mix lemon juice with honey and massage.

3. Exfoliate:
    After cleansing, the next step is to remove the dead cells and blackheads from the face which is called exfoliating the skin.Exfoliating reduces acne, improves skin texture, reduces the appearance of pores and signs of aging.This is where the use of scrub comes into place.Sugar is a wonderful natural scrub that is easily available at home and which works for all skin types.Put 1 tbsp sugar in your palm. To this add 1 tsp olive oil or coconut oil. Mix well to create a paste. Gently rub this paste on face in circular motion for 1-2 minutes. Wash off with warm water.

4. Tone:
    Toning is an optional step in facial. But toning can help to refresh the skin and provide a youthful feel.Cucumber is a natural toner best for normal skin. Simply rub a slice of cucumber over the face for a few minutes. Wash off with warm water. For dry skin, you can use rose water. Add few drops of rose water to a cotton ball. Rub the cotton in circular motion for few minutes and then wash off with warm water.Rub slices of potato over face and neck for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water.This is best suitable for oily skin.

5. Steam:
    Steaming is the most important step in facial. It helps to open up the pores and improve blood circulation.Boil water in a sauce pan on a stove top. Once the water is boiled, remove the pan from the stove.Now, cover your head with a towel and lower your face over the steam to capture the steam over your face. Remain in this position for 5 minutes. Then pat the skin dry.

6. Apply a Pack:
    Face pack helps to achieve a clearer and brighter skin complexion.Try these face packs to get the desired results. While you wait for the face pack to dry,  place sliced cucumber or cotton balls dipped in rose water over your eyes, lie down and relax.

Pack for Normal Skin:
    
    Mix honey with a mashed ripe banana. Apply this pack over the face. Wait for 20 minutes and remove with warm water.

 Pack for Dry Skin:

   Mix one tbsp of Olive oil, one tbsp of Milk with half tsp of honey.Apply this pack for 10 mins and wipe off with cotton dipped in warm water.

Pack for Oily Skin:

Mix one and half tbsp of Multani Mitti ( Fuller's Earth) with rose water to make a paste. Apply this pack evenly on face.Wash off with warm water after 15-20 minutes.

7. Moisturize:
    The final step in facial, moisturizing not only helps to prevent dryness but also helps in maintaining the elasticity of skin. Aloe Vera gel is the best natural moisturizer suitable for all skin types. Extract the gel of aloe vera from the plant and rub over the skin.until its fully absorbed.
