Care For Your Hair This Summer





With Summer at its peak, it is not just about taking care of your skin and body, but also being prepared to take care of the hair to be healthy and shiny.Hair becomes rough during this season and exposing hair to the sun can have adverse effects to the hair.

Love Your Hair this summer with below tips:

  1. Wear cap or scarf or use an umbrella to protect the hair from sun's heat.
  2. Drink plenty of water to hydrate skin, body as well as hair.
  3. Avoid taking hot showers or washing your hair in hot water.
  4. Combing your hair too often helps to detangle the knots and simulates blood circulation.
  5. Trim your hair every 4-6 weeks time during summer to prevent split ends and to enhance hair growth.
  6. Rinse your hair with 3 tbsp of baking soda and some water after shampooing.Leave it for 5 minutes before the final rinse. This will remove excess shampoo from the hair.
  7. Always make sure to tie up your hair and not to leave the hair open to protect from sun damage.
  8. Applying coconut oil provides greatest protection to the hair.Apply it before shampooing and then wash and condition your hair as usual.
  9. Massaging the scalp once in a while helps to improve circulation and rejuvenates the scalp.
  10. Try using moisturizing shampoo during summer to prevent dry hair.
  11. Use hair packs to soften the hair.Make a paste of curd, egg white and olive oil. Apply on hair and wash after half an hour.
  12. Wash your hair often but shampoo only once a week as daily shampooing can make the hair dry.
  13. Avoid straightening or blow drying the hair as it increases heat over the scalp resulting in dry hair and breakage.
  14. Eat protein enriched food especially Vitamin C to promote healthy hair. 
  15. Stress has a main role to play in hair loss. Remove stress from your life with yoga,meditation to have a healthy hair.
